BLACK COLLAR

“BLACK COLLAR” is the son of “PRAIRIE,” our F2 Bengal Asian Leopard. Being 3rd generation from his pure Leopard grandparent makes him a very rare specimen available in Canada;

-1; Because F2’s are very picky breeders and finding a suitable male big enough to impress them is difficult.

-2; F2’s will only breed once a year if you’re lucky and the conditions are perfect.

“So ‘BLACK COLLAR’ is a breeding miracle; he was created with one in a million odds by two very attractive parents. At one month old, he is already much larger than a SBT (Stud Book Tradition) Bengal. His rosettes are starting to form nicely even though he still has the fuzzies (longer pelt brushing to help them camouflage better in the wild). ‘BLACK COLLAR’ can already climb up trees where his mother keeps them to feed, so he is very strong, has great posture, and is very intelligent and sociable; traits she gets from his excellent father ‘KEN-DOLL.’

‘BLACK COLLAR’ has the features that will make her a winning show cat; large nocturnal eyes, a pulled back leopard cranium, strong jawline and broad nose, small leopard ears, excellent markings across her whole body, a very striking soft and luxurious pelt, strong and longer than usual limbs with large paws, a sought-after short and very thick tail with a pure black tip, and just look at that face! She has so much character.

This is one of only two very rare F3 males available at the moment, and it may be another year before ‘PRAIRIE’ produces another. Leopards mature a little slower than Bengals, so ‘BLACK COLLAR’ will not be ready to be re-homed until March 2024; he is still available for reservation.
